Letters of Support were received from people way beyond the Dyfi Valley such as Elaine A. Hanmer Yard from the USA, Roime Sharma from Rotherham, Yorkshire; Stirling District Tourism Ltd. and the Warwick History Society [Warwick International], Mostyn, Flintshire.
2007:
Gifts and Grants
The Centre received a welcome boost of £500 from a supporter who now lives in Rye, Sussex. His family had business interests in Flintshire and he is very interested in Glyn Dŵr’s history.
A further boost was a grant of £4,600 from Communities First. This enabled us to establish an office which would facilitate communication and organization as well as starting the process of paying for the services of advisers.
A £11,800 match funded grant from Powys County Council enabled the Centre to keep the Visitor Centre open for an extended period in 2008 and develop the Centre’s website.

Members of the Development Committee visited Corwen twice during the Autumn. This was to see the new sculpture of Glyn Dŵr placed on its plinth (Gallery for details) and then officially unveiled.
